How to request deletion

Send us a message using any one of these:

• Email: info@innoventra.ca with the subject line Delete my data
• WhatsApp: message the business you were talking to and say you want your data deleted, and they will pass it to us

Please include:

• The phone number you used to message the business, including country code
• The name of the business you were messaging
• A reference number, if you have one

We need the phone number because it is how your conversation is identified. Without it we cannot find your records, and we will ask you for it before proceeding.

What we delete

On a verified request we remove:

• Your phone number and display name
• The content of your messages, including any images or files you sent
• Any request you created, including the product details, contact details and delivery preferences it held
• The conversation history associated with your number

What we may keep, and why

We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it or where a business has a legal obligation, for example:

• Records needed for tax or accounting where a transaction took place
• Records needed to resolve a dispute or defend a legal claim
• Aggregate counts that contain nothing identifying you

Anything retained for these reasons is kept only for as long as the obligation lasts, and is then deleted.

Information held by others

Two things are outside our control and worth knowing:

The business you were messaging may hold its own records of your enquiry, for example in their own notes or systems. We will pass your deletion request to them, but you may also want to contact them directly.

WhatsApp stores messages under Meta's own policy. Deleting your data with us does not delete the conversation from your phone or from Meta's systems. To remove the conversation from your own device, delete the chat in WhatsApp.

How long it takes

• We acknowledge your request within 3 business days
• We complete deletion within 30 days
• We confirm in writing once it is done

If we cannot verify that the request comes from you, we will tell you why rather than deleting someone else's records.
